In one way or another the founders of Don’t Tell Clare have been operating in Teesside U.K under different guises for some 15 years now playing in bands, putting on club nights and gigs, running the local record shop.

Don’t Tell Clare the label itself was originally set up in 2004 for the purpose of releasing the first record by The High Plane Drifters. Since then we have had the pleasure of bringing many groups and artists to Teesside to play alongside finding other venues around the U.K to take groups to.

The acts below are all artists we have booked shows for in one way or another. Some of them have played at our recent Don’t Tell Clare Club night and others we have had the pleasure of booking for full U.K tours.

Each of these artists are thoroughly worth checking out as they are all exceptional and outline the labels diverse interest in music and commitment to working with the oddballs who should be seen, heard and recognized as a cut above the rest in an industry saturated with mediocrity.

This is not a comprehensive list of our loves in music (this website would surely not be big enough to host such a thing) but a collection of names that we have in some way tried to support and hope to see grow ever larger in the future.
